Adorable little Sofie was born on the 6th November and was as stubborn as can be, she kept one eye on me for most of the session! But when she did sleep…isn’t she just so cute!!! All wrapped up, we used this material in Sam’s maternity session as well. It’s great to bring both sessions together.

Just in time for Christmas…the perfect little present.

Meet little Charlotte, she was born on 31st October and is the most patient and chilled out baby ever! She just laid there patiently waiting for her brother to come to have a photo taken with her. Ben wasn’t very interested in her…not sure why, isn’t she gorgeous!!

Hanging out on dad’s arm ;)

Love it when we get family shots like this! :)

I have to say that when parents book in their newborn session when their baby is over 14 days I always worry how the session will go. After 10 days babies tend to get hungrier and are more aware of things around them so they force themselves to stay awake not to miss out on anything. Alex was born on 24th October but slept like he was under 10 days! My dream :) Such a cute little chunky baby with gorgeous full cheeks.I always post Mummy shots, so thought I’d post a Daddy one. :)

Alex wasn’t soo keen on dressing up as a puppy…but he makes the most adorable sad puppy ever!

Determination was key at this session! Zoe was sound asleep when she first got here and allowed me to take a couple of photos, but then decided that she was hungry. So we fed her, but she was a very stubborn little girl and decided to stay awake. After family shots more milk and lots of rocking she finally gave in and slept. And boy did she sleep! Look at those lush lips!!

4 weeks, but as you can see here she is still tiny.

I was able to catch a couple adorable smiles. :)

Kody & Carson came in for their cousin’s newborn session for a ‘quick’ photo…so I knew what was in store for their cake smash. To get 2 boys who are very active to sit and smile at the same time is nearly impossible! So we improvise! ;) By far one of the funniest cake smashes ever! Who would have known that the smaller Kody would have been the one to stuff his face and demolish his side of the cake! Just can’t get enough in…have to use 2 hands!

This little guy was in my studio this week for his first photo session. He was all smiles when he got into the studio with no effort at all, but as soon as the camera came out he was so very serious! We were able to catch a couple of his adorable smiles and had him asleep for a short period of time.Golf anyone??

I love when parents bring in props for their photo sessions!! :)

Just learning to suck his thumb, how adorable :)

The James family introduced George into this world on the 28th October. The great thing about the third baby of the family is that they can sleep through anything! And George did! ;)

His loving brother and sister ♥I love it when families bring something special to have included in their photos. This gorgeous blanket was handmade for George.

Gorgeous little Florence was born on 19th October and came in for her first session on Friday. Couldn’t resist putting this reindeer hat on her…all ready for Christmas!! It’s always such a pleasure to photograph friends with their new family members. I’ve known Sadie and Jono since I first arrived on the island, and am soo happy for both of them with with their newest addition. By far some of the best parents you’ll ever meet! So happy for both of you and so honoured to be able to capture your beautiful family at this special time. :)

This is now my favourite photo taken so far this year! Ah…just want to squeeze her! ;)

After 2 weeks of waiting past her due date Maisie finally decided to make her appearance. This session was not at all what normally happens in my studio – no tears till we had to wake her up to go home!! But she started out determined not to fall asleep! Focused and very alert was how she started, but after some family shots and more food she finally fell asleep :)

So chuffed about this shot, Jenna & Nick brought the horse in for the maternity session and we made a plan how to get a shot of Maisie on it….obviously being as safe as we can. Photoshop is a great friend for shots like this. I love it so much and hope that mum and dad bring her and the horse in when she’s a little older and can sit on it. How cute would that be! :)  And an extra one just because it’s Halloween.

I had a very worrying morning, it was cold and I had decided to fire up my oil heater to keep it a little warmer in the studio for Marcus’ session. Well that tripped my electricity and for about 20 minutes and calling Guernsey Electricity I couldn’t get it to work. So I told emergency services to come and hoped that they would get here before Inga & Mark arrived. Well they didn’t, we decided that they might arrive while giving Marcus his feeding. So I tired the switches again, and luckily the electricity came back on! :) Phew!!

Marcus is by far the happiest 11 week old that I have ever met! I have never seen a baby this young smile so much! He was so smiley I just couldn’t believe it.

Gorgeous first shot that I took of the family in this pose, amazing! :)

And he decided to pull out all the stops and fall asleep to become a sleepy newborn again. He looks so peaceful, I love his little hands here and his lush long eyelashes!!
