Well Archie may not have been the first baby born in 2012, but he was the first one to be born here and then photographed by  me! :)

If today’s session was any indication of how 2012 newborn sessions are going to be then bring it on! I am one happy photographer today, a great session to have right before I go on holiday!

Archie was AMAZING!!! He opened his eyes a couple of times, only fussed for 2 seconds when he was hungry and went straight back to sleep. We didn’t need to be quiet for him and chatted the whole session! AMAZING!! :)

You can even see here he’s trying with all his might to get a little smile out! Love Love the little back rolls!

This is something I’ve never had before…a family of penguins! ;)

A hat knitted by me! :)

And lastly Mum’s choice…so happy Archie was happy for us to move him around loads without fussing once!!

At only one week young Casper came to my studio this morning, after doing Sophie & Will’s maternity session I was really excited for this little man to arrive. His session started out amazing….look at his gorgeous face!!! He’s posing with his little pout lips and just glaring up just above the camera….pro at birth. ;)

The best Christmas present ever!

Not much more to say than LOVE LOVE LOVE! And I was sooo happy that he decided not to pee or poo on this fur. Seeing as I just spent ages getting his poop out of the red knitted wrap. Lucky for bleach…no stains on the white blankets. :)

Such a content little boy, as long as he’s on his side! No photos of him on his back, because he HATED it! He makes an adorable little Santa! ;)

Greg was in my studio yesterday. I’ve had it very lucky lately (and fingers crossed it stays this way!) I’ve had so many babies that have easily fallen asleep and settle straight away when I move them to different baskets or blankets…and Greg was the same! He was a great little model. :)

Awake…yet so chilled. Amazing eye contact with my camera…I’m telling you a born model! :)

And with his new teddy that is massive compared to him!!

Matilda was born on 4th December and as a surprise for Dad Rachael and the kids came in for a session. I photographed Isabella & Harry last Christmas and it’s such a pleasure to have them back to welcome the newest addition to their family. :)

Matilda was the perfect little model, she was so easy to work with once we got her into a deep sleep. And bonus…no washing, except one towel. She held her pee in for when mum was holding her. ;)

I had to save the best for last. Dad wasn’t at the session because it’s going to be a surprise…but we thought we’d try a bit of magic! Without Richard…..

With Richard! ;)

The Smit family welcomed Ruben to their family. Eminé was a great big sister and a perfect little model for the session. :)

So adorable! ;)

Another family shot, just so you can see if and which one you’d like to put on a Christmas card.

Ruben’s first Christmas!

Aaron was born on the 1st December and came for photos at just 8 days young. :)

He’s all ready for Christmas in his reindeer hat…although from his facial expression he doesn’t look overly pleased! ;)

Cute as a button and looking perfect as ever in a hat that I knitted! :)

Beautiful new mum enjoying cuddles from Aaron.

How cute…in this elephant hat! Love it!! :D

Zach is soo excited for his first Christmas in his adorable elf costume! With a little help from Mum he’s happy to sit up on his own. ;)

Using those new arm and neck muscles he made a huge effort to get his photo. :)

All cuddled in for their first family photo.
